    Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in Schools Notice

    This information is being published to comply with the requirements of 40 CFR 763 Subpart E, “asbestos containing materials (ACM) in schools.” This regulation, commonly known as “AHERA,” requires schools to perform certain tasks in regards to the presence and control of asbestos-containing materials in the buildings under the jurisdiction of the school district.

    As mandated by federal regulation, the school must notify parents/guardians/students in writing about the existence and location of AHERA School Management Plans, for individual school buildings, regardless of the existence of ACM at the school. The Management Plan is available for review during regular working hours at the school office. A Copy of the Management Plan will be made, on request, for a nominal fee to cover the cost of copying and handling.

    Se publica esta información en cumplimiento con los requisitos del 40 CFR 763 Sección Inferior E, “materiales que contengan cemento de asbestos (ACM) en los colegios.”  Generalmente, dicha regulación  comúnmente conocida como “AHERA,” requiere que los colegios ejecuten ciertas funciones en relación a la presencia y control de cementos de asbesto-que existan en el material de los edificios y que se encuentren bajo la jurisdicción del distrito escolar.Como fuera establecido por la regulación federal, el colegio debe notificar por escrito a los padres/apoderados y estudiantes acerca de la existencia y ubicación de los Planes de Administración Escolar de AHERA, para los edificios individuales escolares, aunque exista o no ACM en el colegio.  Los Planes de Administración se encuentran disponibles para su revisión durante las  horas de trabajos normales en la oficina del colegio.  A pedido, se hará una Copia del Plan de Administración, por un costo nominal para cubrir el costo de gestión y copiado.Para obtener mayores detalles relacionado al Plan de Administración por favor no dude en contactar al Director de Servicios de Refuerzos del Distrito Escolar de Park City al 645-5600, extensión 1437.
