Every Thursday, students in the Post-High Transition program head out into the community for outings and special events.  But these social outings don't just manifest themselves.   Preparation begins on Monday and continues through the week, students plan and budget for these weekly events.  A classroom poster is used to monitor the rolling budget with funding initially provided by the Park City Education Foundation.  Students use the current amount to research activity fees, transportation costs, and meal prices.   When the activity is scheduled at the Learning Center, students will create a shopping list, shop for items at the store, and cook or create together for their social fun. 

Fridays may still be considered the favorite day of the week by most people.  But ask any of these transition students, and they will tell you Thursday wins.  A huge shout-out to PCEF for the funding to create this meaningful curriculum and opportunities for our post-high students!
