Simulation at School

The Careers over Coffee at Park City High School this month brought four aviation professionals to share their career experiences with over 100 interested high school students.  One of the panelists was Trip Marshall, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Aviation and Drone Science instructor, also a former Ecker Hill Middle School teacher.  He knew one particular middle school aviation enthusiast that also needed to attend.  With the help of the administrators at both schools and special education, a special invitation was extended to 7th grader, Aidan, who has had a lifelong passion for all things flight.

After the presentation from the professional aviators, Mr. Marshall gave Aidan a special tour of the flight simulators and drones used in the CTE classes.   As a middle school student, access to "what is to come" can be the guiding light for staying the academic course, knowing they will be able to enroll in classes of interest in a few short years.

A huge shout out to Trip Marshall for involving Aidan in this custom-designed opportunity, as well as all the administrators who collaborated to make this happen.  And as always, we are grateful to the Park City Education Foundation for the financial support of these resources to make aviation and drone science classes available for all students, increasing the excitement for career and college readiness.
