Reading Guineas

Reading Guineas ?!?

Mr. Mason and Mr. Cheetos may not be able to read, but they sure love hearing the stories and looking at pictures with their friends at McPolin Elementary.   Even when teachers use the best reading practices of a multi-sensory approach with text, visual, kinesthetic, and oral language activities, students sometimes need a little extra motivation to keep working on their reading.   "The boys", as they are affectionately called in the classroom, are just what it takes to lure reluctant readers.  They love getting out of the cage and snuggled up in front of a good book.

We appreciate all the creativity that our special educators bring to their instructional practice with students to make it meaningful, effective, and most important - fun!
