• Students will leave Treasure Mountain Jr. High with a firm foundation in aspects of identity development and an understanding of where they fit into a dynamic and ever changing world. School counselors use a personalized learning model to help students cultivate curiosity about what is possible for their future plans with an emphasis on self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

8th grade students will create their high school plan by developing an understanding of their identity, which includes answering the questions; “what do you care about?” through identifying values and career exploration, “who do you want to be?” through understanding their personality and resume building, and “how do you want to make an impact on the world?” by developing a 4-Year high school plan.

9th grade students will continue their journey of self discovery and begin the process of integrating their concepts of identity as they move toward developing a plan for their personalized high school experience.  They will work to continue the development of their 4-Year school plan, invite educators, family, and friends to join their 4-Year plan advisory committees, and continue to refine their knowledge about themselves and how they want to invest their time in high school. They will conclude their journey in 9th grade contemplating post secondary options, resume building, job applications, and goals for the future.
