    The Park City Community:
Park City is a year-round resort community nestled at about 7,000 feet above sea level in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, located 30 miles east of our state capital, Salt Lake City. Originally founded as a silver mining town, Park City is now a summer and winter resort community featuring two major ski resorts: Park City Mountain Resort Deer Valley Resort, several golf courses, hiking and mountain biking trails, and nearby reservoirs for boating and fishing. In 2002, we were proud to be a venue for the Winter Olympic Games. Park City has approximately 8,500 year-round residents.

    District Demographics:
With over 4,500 students, Park City School District’s size puts it right in the middle of the other Utah school districts. It is also close to the state average ethnic minority composition. Seventeen percent of its students are an ethnic minority – mostly of Hispanic heritage. PCSD does fall below the state average in the number of children coming from low-income families.
