  • Citizenship

    HONOR ROLL
    Sponsors: PTO, EHMS Office.
    Recognition certificate each quarter for students who have a grade point average of 3.75 or better.

    Leadership
    Sponsors: Ms. Hales and Ms. Thompson. Description: Student Council is an elected leadership position. Campaigns and elections are held in the fall of the school year. Student Council plans Spirit Week and other school activities. Student Council members may be called upon to assume leadership roles in the school community during the school year

    OUTSTANDING EFFORT
    Quarterly recognition for a few exceptional students who’ve shown tenacity, diligence and determination in all classes.

    PEER TUTORS
    Sponsor: . Meets: Every other day during school. Description: Kids enroll in a service period supporting the needs of Ecker Hill’s special population students. Program enrollment limited by application.

    Cultural

    Latinos In Action (LIA)
    Sponsor: Ms. Muñoz
    Meets: Through the school year.
    Description: International Club students eat, dance, sing and have a lot of fun celebrating world cultures.

    Performing & Visual Arts

    6th/7th ORCHESTRA
    Sponsors: Mr. Harrington. Meets: During the school day. Description: Each orchestra performs several evening concerts for family and community. Depending on interest, the EHMS Orchestras may travel to local festivals or competitions.

    6th/7th BAND
    Sponsor: Mr. Wallis
    Meets: During the school day.
    Description: Each Band performs evening concerts for community and family. Depending on interest, the EHMS Bands may travel to local festivals or competitions.

    JAZZ BAND
    Sponsor:
    Meets: 8:00 two or three times per week.
    Description: Jazz Band is open to students who enroll in Band or Orchestra. Jazz Band is a smaller ensemble. Enrollment may be limited by player tryouts.

    EHMS DRAMA – Fall or Spring Plays.
    Sponsor: Ms. Morgan
    Meets: Before and after school. Description: Tryouts are open to all Ecker Hill students – need not be enrolled in Drama classes at Ecker. A variety of acting and non-acting positions are available with each play.

    EHMS CHOIR
    Sponsor: Ms. Morgan
    Meets: During the school day.
    Description: The Ecker Hill Choir performs evening concerts for community and family. Depending on interest, the Choir may travel to local festivals or competitions.

    Scholastic

    HOMEWORK CLUB
    Meets: 3:45 – 4:45, Monday – Thursday, activity bus available at 5:00 pm.
    Description: Homework Club is for all Ecker Hill kids who want a time and a place to stay caught up with school studies.
