• Driver Education

The Park City School District does not offer Driver Education. Students will need to complete both the classroom theory and driving/observation portions through a provider who is approved by the Utah Driver License Division. For information, see https://dld.utah.gov/driver-education/.  Some provider options are listed below.

NOTE: You must get a Learner's Permit BEFORE you begin Driver Education.
You must be at least 15 years old to get your permit. For information on obtaining a Learner Permit, go to https://dld.utah.gov/learner-permit/.

    Online Driver Education Providers:
The Utah Driver License Division website includes a list of approved Driver Education providers. Click through each provider's website to see which program would work best for you. Some other online options include Canyons Virtual High School and Weber Online and the Statewide Online Education Program.

    Utah Students Connect (USC):
USC offers the classroom portion of Driver Education online, but NOT the driving portion. The student must be enrolled at TMJH or PCHS. This course is free during the school year, but will cost about $46.50 if taken during the summer. USC courses have fixed term dates!—A sign-up deadline, start date, withdrawal deadline, and an end date when all course work and final exams must be complete. You must actively participate or you will be automatically dropped at mid-term. Students will receive a letter grade for this course, which will be added to the student's high school transcript. If completed successfully, the student will be awarded .25 elective credit. If you pass, the course instructor will report your certificate to the DMV. You must have a Learner Permit before you can begin the course. Register for USC Driver Education through your school's Counseling Office.
