• National Honor Society (NHS)

The National Honor Society is a distinguished organization, recognized by colleges and employers across the United States, built for students who commit themselves to its four pillars: leadership, service, character, and scholarship.

The Park City High School National Honor Society exists to empower students to make a difference in our community and the world, through coordinated service with meaningful local organizations. Our members love learning, are committed to academic excellence, enjoy helping others, and are known for their kindness, positivity, and desire to make a difference. If those qualities represent you, we urge you to consider applying for National Honor Society membership.

As a member of our organization, you would be expected to maintain a 3.7 weighted GPA during the school year, complete five hours of service with an approved group in our community each quarter, participate in two impactful group projects each semester, attend all monthly meetings (usually on the fourth Friday of each month; right after school), and work to plan and execute our club-wide projects.

While these are the requirements of this club, we encourage our members to view them as thrilling opportunities to make an impact in the world rather than items to check off a list. We are looking for students who genuinely love to make a difference in the world.

PCHS has one of the most successful chapters of NHS in the United States. Each year we host a food drive that has historically set records for collecting the most food for communities in need in Utah history. Additionally, we host a 5k in the spring to benefit veterans, international service projects, and causes in the Park City area.

We design this club as a tight-knit community in which all members feel safe, comfortable, and have fun, making friends that will last a lifetime. Often, our group projects are the site of smiles and laughter as our members bond doing tasks ranging from making blankets for local hospitals to sandwiches for homeless youth in Salt Lake City.

For the 2022-2023 school year, applications are due on September 24th and should be submitted using the Google form link below.  Send the teacher recommendation form link to a teacher who you believe can articulate an accurate description of your character.
