Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Gortat and I am so excited that you are going to be in my class this year. You are going to love kindergarten. In kindergarten we work hard, but we have fun. We have good manners and we always try our best. We will read stories, sing songs, write a lot, learn math games, do art, have computer time, learn new things in science and social studies, play games, and more.

Due to the many unknowns related to COVID, our day will look different this year.  I will keep you updated the best that I can with new information. We will need to practice social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand washing/sanitizing throughout our day.

If we are to go into school closure, we will use Seesaw on the iPads for assignments. I will also be posting videos and other information to help teach your kindergartener.
